Musical Theater

This weekly class will introduce songs and scenes from various Broadway and movie musicals. Through this process, children will learn basic performance skills such as theater terminology, healthy singing, dance skills and teamwork required for working on a musical production. The session culminates in a presentation by the children for their family and friends.​

Class Dates: Mondays, March 2-May 11

(no class on 4/6) 10 classes

Time: 2:10 – 3:40pm

Location: Morning Creek MPR

Cost: $175 per student

Final Show: Monday, May 11 at 6 PM

The Little Mermaid

1st Grade-3rd Grade

Class Dates: Fridays, March 6- May 15

(no class 4/10 ) 10 classes

 

Time: 2:10 – 3:40pm

Location: Morning Creek MPR

Cost: $175 per student

 

Final Show: Friday, May 15 3:30 PM

Registration & Fees

  • First Come, First Served!

  • Class fees and registration can be done by clicking link below Registration begins 1/30/26.

  • Registration is complete once payment has been received.

  • Classes are limited and filled on a first come first served basis.

  • Students may register for ONE class each session

  • No refunds will be given after classes have begun

  • Class confirmations will be emailed to you

Other Information

  • Students must respect the property of the school, class, and the instructor.

  • The student is expected to follow school rules and exhibit good behavior. The student will be dropped from the class if a discipline problem develops. Refunds will not be issued.

  • Students are not escorted to the classes. However, Instructor does check to make sure all students have arrived to their class. Students attending ESS should check in there first.

  • Students must be picked up immediately at class dismissal time at the MPR or return to ESS instructor.

  • Regular attendance is very important! Please look at the dates and plan on having your child attend every class barring illness.

  • This program is not sponsored by the Poway Unified School District.

  • Financial Assistance If your child wishes to participate, but the musical theater fee presents a hardship for your family, scholarships are available. Please reach out to mcesfoundationprograms@gmail.com

  • Communication with parents will be primarily through email.
